I don't know why, but one of my favorite radio shows and podcasts to listen to is Bob Brinker on MoneyTalk, find the radio station nearest you. The podcast are not free however. I never miss a show, but I can't help but feel he and his guest hosts give out incorrect or not the best advice quite often. Mostly it is due to the fact that they don't fully grasp the question and are on the spot to answer live. In general, Bob preaches the long term index based investing philosophy that I follow. However, he also claims to be a market timer, which is in direct contradiction to many of his guests and recommended readings. But that is a topic for another day...

I use to listen to the Bob Brinker radio program until I bought his newsletter. After reading his newsletter, I decided his radio program was more a "Dear Abby" than an "investing 101" program. When relevant questions come up, his answers are usually vague compared to his opinion in his newsletter. Highlites of his radio program used to be transcribed on his website, and be read for free. Now the recording of the whole program is just dumped there, and you have to PAY to listen for 3 hours to find what I could read in 10 minutes.
Like you I listen regularly to Bob Brinker podcasts. In general I am OK with his cautious timing philosophy. I do think that he is a phony when it comes to his poltiical views. He has James Zogby on every election yr weekend. In 2000 he was saying "If Gore wins the electoral vote but loses the popular vote it will be the end of the electoral college and well it should" He refers to the Democratic party as the "Democrat" party--He is not a dumb guy and I am sure that he knows that this was Joseph McCarthy's term to insinuate that Democrats are communists.
